EWaste Prime was appointed by a major Bangladesh telecom operator to manage the certified decommissioning of legacy network infrastructure across three data centres in Dhaka, Chittagong, and Sylhet. The engagement covered 1,800 rack servers, 240 storage arrays, 600 networking devices, and associated power and cooling infrastructure.
Given the sensitivity of telecommunications infrastructure data — including subscriber records, billing systems, and network configuration databases — the client required NIST 800-88 Destroy-level processing for all storage media, with witnessed destruction and 24-hour Certificate of Destruction turnaround. EWaste Prime deployed two mobile industrial shredding units operating simultaneously at the Dhaka facility to meet the timeline requirements.
All precious metal recovery operations were conducted by EWaste Prime's certified downstream partner, with full material flow documentation provided. The engagement generated recovery credits from gold, palladium, and copper extraction across the 1,800 server chassis processed.
The client received a complete GSMA-aligned sustainability reporting package covering material recovery volumes, landfill diversion rates, carbon impact, and UN SDG contribution metrics for annual ESG disclosure to international investors.
