Project Overview

A leading Bangladesh commercial bank engaged EWaste Prime for the certified retirement of 800 servers and 1,400 workstations across 28 branches, in compliance with Bangladesh Bank audit requirements and ISO 27001 information security obligations.

All data-bearing assets were processed using NIST 800-88 Purge and Destroy methods, with individual Certificates of Destruction issued for every storage device. On-site mobile shredding units were deployed to 12 high-security branches, ensuring no data-bearing media left the premises prior to physical destruction.

Chain-of-custody documentation was maintained throughout the engagement, with GPS-tracked secure transport between branches and EWaste Prime's processing facility. The bank received a full Bangladesh Bank-compliant audit file including serialised CoD records, destruction method documentation, and environmental compliance certificates.

Total outcome: 42 metric tonnes of e-waste diverted from landfill, 98 kg of copper recovered, and 18 kg of precious metals reclaimed through certified downstream recycling.
