Secure data destruction permanently removes or destroys data from end-of-life IT assets so it cannot be recovered. EWaste Prime follows NIST 800-88 media sanitization methods for laptops, desktops, servers, phones, hard drives, SSDs and other storage media, on-site at your premises or at our facility.
Deleted or formatted data can often be recovered. Old devices hold customer records, passwords, financial files and employee data. Verified destruction removes that risk before a device is reused, resold or recycled.
| Method | Best for | Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Clear | Devices that will be reused internally | Data overwritten using approved software |
| Purge | Devices leaving your control but still reusable | Stronger sanitization so data cannot be recovered with lab techniques |
| Destroy | High-risk drives, damaged or unusable media | Storage media physically destroyed |
For sensitive assets we can destroy data at your premises, and your representative can witness the destruction. Please request this when you book so we can plan the visit.
NIST Special Publication 800-88 is a widely used guideline for media sanitization. It describes three levels: Clear, Purge and Destroy.
Yes. Corporate clients can ask for witnessed destruction, subject to scheduling.
